So you want to create a website for your business or blog, but you don’t have a lot of money to spend? StudioPress Genesis child themes may be just the solution for you!
There are hundreds of premium theme solutions for WordPress available. They are cost-effective in giving you out-of-the-box options for your website without too much fuss. One of the most reliable, stable and attractive options is the StudioPress Genesis series of child themes.
Easy to manage, edit and manipulate for your business, Genesis offers a whole host of options for page layouts and content management.
You can use them as they come, or with a few custom graphic elements, make the website of your dreams for substantially less than paying to have a custom site built. Add to that the easy management of WordPress and you can be up and running in days, not weeks.
I’ve been using themes designed by StudioPress founder Brian Gardner since they were Revolution Themes. As a designer who believes in finding low-cost solutions for small businesses, I am a huge fan of his work and an even bigger fan of Genesis.
Check some of the before and after pictures below for a selection of what you can do with StudioPress Genesis child themes:
This website uses the Genesis child theme “Executive”. I figured if it’s good enough for my clients, it’s good enough for me. I loved the layout, so made very few changes to the actual structure of theme. I use Fontific to use Google Fonts in the header text, added different background to each layout element (home page bottom, main content area, header and widget titles). Total time to complete: Six Hours
Shoutback.com wanted a one page landing page based in WordPress so they could use the Salesforce plugin to capture and track new newsletter subscribers. We took the Agency Genesis child theme and edited it to meet the clients specifications. This included moving one of the bottom widgets to become a middle widget and widening the remaining two bottom widgets. Total time to complete: One Hour
AchievableFashion.com also uses the Executive theme, but with an added widget on the home page bottom section. Colors and background have been changed, but the basic layout of the theme has been preserved.
